Ethics deals with implications of emerging technologies, and what is felt to be right or wrong, positive or negative about them. It is not only about adjusting to the technologically possible, but also about deciding what is ethically desirable. The ethics of computer and communications technologies, biotechnology, health/medical technologies, and nanotechnology, as well as other areas of emerging science/technology inquiry and development would be covered for this award.
